With an impressive portfolio of about 200 articles debunking misinformation in Tanzania, Najma has established herself as a leading expert in the field of fact-checking. In her previous role at Code for Africa , she has trained journalists across the continent on effective fact-checking and verification techniques. She’s consulted the Tanzania Media Foundation project with DW Academy on Media Viability in Tanzania.

Najma’s advocacy extends beyond her professional endeavors. As the host of the inspiring podcast “She’s Bold,” she explores themes of personal growth, challenges stereotypes, and guides listeners through the complexities of modern life. Her voice is for the women and girls seeking empowerment and inspiration. Najma’s insights are featured in Chuo Times, a prestigious university magazine, and her podcast has garnered attention on local radio stations such as Kings FM in Mbeya and Radio 5 FM in Arusha.

Educationally, Najma holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law Enforcement from the University of Dar es Salaam and is currently advancing her expertise through a Master’s of Arts in Digital Journalism at Aga Khan University, Kenya. She is also dedicated to continuous career development through various training programs.
